Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Roaminder mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Roaminder is a shopping list management application that uses your device's location to identify nearby retail stores that may carry items on your list. The App provides proximity-based alerts and store-matching features to help you store more efficiently.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Accounts and Data

4.1 Local Storage

Roaminder operates primarily on-device. Your shopping lists, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device. Account creation is optional — see 4.4.

4.2 Device Identifier

The App generates a random, anonymous device identifier solely for communicating with our store-matching server. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.

4.3 Data You Provide

Shopping list items you enter are sent to our server solely for the purpose of matching items to nearby stores. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.

4.4 Optional Accounts

You may create an account to back up your settings and to use shared lists. Accounts are optional and the App works fully without one. Sign-in is by a one-time code emailed to you; there is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address, since anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes the account, its backup, and any shared lists you own.

4.5 Shared Lists

A shared list is reachable by anyone holding its link. Treat the link as you would the contents of the list, and only give it to people you want to have it. Everyone on a list is shown as a first name and last initial, which they choose; we do not verify that anyone is who they say they are. You are responsible for what you put on a list you create, and for who you send the link to. Lists become read-only 30 days after their last activity and are deleted 30 days after that.

5. Location Services

5.1 Purpose

Location data is used exclusively to determine which stores are near your current position and to provide proximity-based alerts.

5.2 On-Device Processing

Your location coordinates are processed on your device. When sent to our server, they are used only to identify nearby points of interest and are not logged or retained.

5.3 No Tracking

We do not track your movements, build location histories, or create location profiles. Location data is ephemeral — used in the moment and then discarded.

5.4 Optional

Location access is entirely optional. The App functions without it, though proximity features will be unavailable.

6. Notifications

The App may send push notifications to alert you when you are near a store carrying items on your list. Notifications can be disabled at any time through the App's settings or your device's system settings.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Store Data

Store location and product category data is sourced from third-party providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.

7.2 Maps

The App may use third-party mapping services to display store locations. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

7.3 Advertising

The App may display advertisements through third-party ad networks. These networks may collect anonymized usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the property of Roaminder and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or servers
• Use automated means to access or interact with the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "As Is" Basis

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10.2 Store Information

We do not guarantee that any store carries a specific product. Store inventory information is approximate and based on general product categories, not real-time stock levels.

10.3 Location Accuracy

Location-based features depend on your device's GPS capabilities and may not be accurate in all situations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roaminder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
